Helping incentive travel speak the language of business impact

Anyone who’s worked in incentive travel knows this: the programs work. They motivate people, reinforce recognition, and create moments of connection that shape how teams show up long after the trip is over.

And yet, when it comes time to explain that impact, the story often stops with the itinerary or the experience itself — important details, but not where the value ultimately lives.

“The experience isn’t the outcome,

it’s the mechanism.”

The impact is what happens because of it.

Why this lens exists

Over years spent inside the incentive travel ecosystem — across planning, operations, leadership conversations, and industry research — I kept seeing the same pattern repeat. Programs were delivering real results inside organizations, yet those results were rarely named in ways leaders could recognize or use.

Not because the impact wasn’t there.

But because our language didn’t quite reach beyond the experience.

That gap — between what incentive travel does and how it’s understood — is where my work lives lives.

What I focus on

I work with incentive travel professionals to help surface and articulate the business impact their programs already create — clearly, credibly, and without overcomplicating the story.

That often means shifting the conversation just one step forward: from describing what happened to naming what it made possible.

From logistics to outcomes. From experience to significance.

It’s to elevate how that work is framed, so its full value is easier to recognize — especially in moments where priorities, expectations, or direction are being discussed.

The work starts to carry more weight — and is treated accordingly.

Where this begins

If you’ve ever felt that incentive travel delivers more than it gets credit for — or struggled to explain its value beyond the experience — you’re in the right place.

You’ll find ideas, tools, and ways of thinking throughout the site that build from here, helping elevate how incentive travel is understood and discussed.
